Psychotherapy is the art of finding The Angel of Hope in the midst of terror, despair, and madness.
~ Chloe Madanes
A sacred process of the therapist hearing & holding the client’s pain.
~ Sara J. Tinker
Love is a constant process of tuning in, connecting, missing, and misreading cues, disconnecting, repairing, and finding deeper connection. It is a dance of meeting and parting and finding each other again. Minute to minute and day to day.
~ Sue Johnson
Beneath every behavior there is a feeling and beneath each feeling there is a need. When we meet that need rather than focusing on the behavior, we begin to deal with the underlying source of the problem and not the symptom of problem behavior.

A Tennessee Licensed Clinical Therapist and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner®, with over twenty-five years’ experience as a psychotherapist offering trusted, confidential, customized, and effective evidenced based interventions. An interesting mix of professional training, skills and life experience adds a unique richness to what I offer clients. Crossroads experiences in my young adulthood got me onto a path of self-discovery that led to my present career, which I love and consider my true passion. I love to learn new techniques that can help clients; I trained in S.A.F.E. (Somatic and Attachment focused) EMDR and am enrolled in a two-year Advanced EMDR Certification program approved by EMDRIA.
Invisible & Sometimes difficult to detect, emotional, psychological, mental, and relationship trauma, neglect, and abuse.
Many have been shamed, shunned, and gaslit while seeking to speak and live their truths. Some fall prey to the manipulation of narcissists and discouraging naysayers who are invested in convincing us they know us better, and what is better for us, than we do ourselves. The effect is that we limp through life robbed of joy and plagued by the inability to allow our sparkle to shine its brightest. Procrastination, perfection, intrusive thoughts, self-critical, underemployment, disorganization, apathy, sense that someting is missing in life. We have a whole myriad of callings, missions, gifts, and offerings living iside of us, but we can’t actualize them in life. There is too much invalidation in the way. Too much second guessing ourselves.
